I am Ranjan Chopra, an IIT-Kanpur alumnus, who graduated in 1983 with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. My journey began at Philips in Mumbai, where my passion for technology and innovation took root. But deep within, I had a dream—one that would go beyond personal success and create something meaningful for others.

Building Team Computers, entirely bootstrapped
In 1987, I took a leap of faith and registered Team Computers. To bring my vision to life, I sold my computer and borrowed Rs 30,000 from my father, gathering Rs 54,000 in seed capital. In January 1988, Team Computers was born in a small office in Connaught Place, Delhi, with just three people by my side.
From the very beginning, my mission was clear: to serve with love and make a positive impact on my team and community. The early days were filled with challenges and relentless hard work, but I believed that business was never just about profits—it was about people. Even in tough times, I made sure my team members were well-paid and their families were taken care of. This commitment to a culture of care and loyalty became the foundation of Team Computers.
The 1990s brought significant challenges for Indian businesses due to strict financial regulations. Despite these hurdles, Ranjan’s love-driven leadership ensured that Team Computers not only survived but thrived. The company became debt-free and entirely self-funded/bootstrapped. of many.
